THE POWER MOBILITY COALITION MEMBERSHIP STANDARDS

The Power Mobility Coalition has defined standards that each member must comply with to maintain membership. These standards are listed below:

1. Each member fully complies with the current Medicare supplier standards established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

2. Each member, as well as any other company, owned, managed or operated by any of the member company's executives, has never been excluded or suspended from doing business with a federally funded health care program except with The Power Mobility Coalition board approval.

3. Each member will deliver equipment prior to billing the Medicare program.

4. Each member will bill the Medicare program only for the products and services it delivers.

5. Each member has in place a voluntary compliance program.

6. Each member regularly participates in and attends Medicare, DMERC, and company training programs.

7. Each member delivers and bills Medicare for products and services to those beneficiaries that they believe meet Medicare coverage criteria for the item(s) provided.

8. Each member repairs directly, or through a service contract with another company, Medicare-covered items it has rented and/or sold to beneficiaries.

9. Each member acknowledges that all members of the Power Mobility Coalition are not to engage in any discussion of pricing or any other anti-competitive conduct.

10. Members will cooperate with Medicare and other government agencies to promote compliance with the Medicare program.

11. Members will use all reasonable efforts to identify, educate, and liberate Medicare qualified beneficiaries.
