
ACTION REQUESTED - Medicare Related Expense Categories
Dear PMC Members:
Regarding PMC’s e-mail requesting provider cost data, several providers suggested that the PMC develop Medicare related expense categories to ensure that provider information can be effectively compared and averaged. Suggested Medicare related expense categories are:
Customer Intake
Documentation Collection and Management
Delivery/Setup/Training/Offices/Services
Payment Collection
Compliance (both State and Federal)
If possible, please breakdown your expenses in the specified categories as a percentage of a Medicare power wheelchair claim.
This data will allow the PMC to develop an appraise and accurate response to charges that Medicare is paying too much for power wheelchairs. As always, your information will be held in the strictest of confidence and will not be shared with any PMC member or other organization. Moreover, any PMC response will not identify a specific provider by name or any other identifier.
