Contact Congress to Retain 1st Month Purchase Option
Dear PMC Members:
Attached are letters that the PMC recently sent to key House and Senate health care policy makers urging them to reject the elimination of the first month purchase option as a revenue offset for any health care reform legislation.
As you are aware, both houses of Congress are currently drafting versions of health care reform legislation. The PMC hopes the attached letters can serve as a template for all power mobility device (PMD) stakeholders to draft their own letters or e-mails to members of your Congressional delegations. Also attached are talking points on the issue.
Action is needed now to ensure that elimination of the first month purchase option is not included in any final health care reform package passed by either the House or Senate. Time is of the essence. Congressional leaders are hoping to get final versions of their bills to the House and Senate floor by the end of July.
